Once the task manager is opened, find and select Google Chrome and then click End Task from the right. Launching Task Manager from the taskbar context menu. Paste the URL in the box and start downloading. Right-click the Taskbar and select Task Manager to open. Open Transmission and under 'File' select 'Open URL'. Right-click and select 'Copy link address'. I miss being able to one click torrent links. Hover your mouse over the magnet link until the magnet address is shown at the bottom of your screen. Does anyone else have any other suggestions? I realise I can simply just right click the magnet icon and select copy link URL and open it in uTorrent but that is just annoying.

Just click the magnet link and let the bittorrent client do the rest. To use magnet URIs, you need only ensure that your bittorrent client is associated with them. Chrome keeps asking if I want to open magnet files with utorrent even though I check the box saying 'always do this for this file type'.

Magnet links have the same functionality as a '.torrent' file. Tried to open magnet links from IE8 (didn't work either)Ħ. With magnet links, you no longer need to download a '.torrent' file to download a torrent. Reinstalled Chrome & uTorrent (latest versions)ĥ. Uninstalled Chrome & uTorrent using Revo Uninstaller ProĤ. Updated to newest versions of Chrome & uTorrentģ. Your Chrome or Firefox browser may stop automatically opening magnet links with default torrent clients. Double checked to see that all torrent files are associated with uTorrentĢ. I just reformatted my computer reinstalled all my programs and I can't seem to get magnet torrent links to open up in uTorrent.ġ.
